I’m very happy to report my newest story, Quakers and Energy Drinks, was published today by Storgy. The story takes place during a train trip from San Diego to Los Angeles, part of Armond’s epic trip across the United States. It deals with the nature of relationships, friendships, what we were vs. what we are, and delicious fruit-flavored candy. Give it a read 🙂
I haven’t been as active on here as I’d like lately. What time I’ve had for creative outlets has mostly gone toward writing a series of interconnected stories that I’d like to ultimately turn into a book. It goes well, but slow, due to life and work doing what it does best – getting in the way. Stupid needing money to survive. Hopefully I’ll have more to share here soon.
For those unfamiliar with Storgy, here’s how they describe themselves on their site:
STORGY was founded in 2013 by Tomek Dzido and Anthony Self as a means by which to explore the short story form and engage with readers and artists alike. An online literary short story magazine consisting of a core group of dedicated writers, STORGY aims to inspire artistic collaboration and provide opportunities for creative minds to meet.
Alongside fiction they also publish book reviews, film reviews, interviews and more. Head over to Storgy and check them out. Thanks to everyone over there who saw merit in my piece.
