The idea of a new year is just that – an idea.
To think that all sorts of things will change is silly.
And yet, it is with our thoughts that we create the world.
If we look to the new year as an idea in and of itself as somehow having the ability to change things, then yes, that is ludicrous.
But – if we look at it as a dividing line, a demarcation where we note that we will make the commitment to change then it is a new year indeed.
As we are always a new person, we can never remain as we ever have been before, but it is our decisions which will determine what the next us will become.
