Lake-Lincoln Park Zoo 4.10.11 049Over the years I’ve tried to build up a number of websites dedicated to original works by myself and others. Every time I had assurances from many people that they would contribute and every time 90% + of those people never did anything beyond talk (which, I guess, is about 90% of what most people do all the time).

The last collaborative effort I undertook was on my previous blog,  after it burns out, at the beginning of this year. I thought it would be a great idea to do a collection of stories with each author writing about a city they had lived in or visited, with an open-ended format to allow for maximum creativity. The intersection between individuals and their environment, particularly cities, is very interesting to me. In cities I feel alive – in the suburbs I feel nothing but plastic, limbo, and coldness.

Anyway, with this project, as all of the projects before, there were many promises, few results.  I wrote my piece on Chicago, which will always be home in my heart. Check it out here, I really like how it turned out.

The two other pieces that were submitted turned out great and definitely deserve a read – check them out on after it burns out:

Ahh, how i miss living in the city…
