In yesterday’s post I noted how fascinated I am by how differently people choose to spend the 24 hours they are allotted in a day. That led me to think about the different types of places I stayed and the people I stayed with. I intended to take pictures of everywhere I stayed, but it is now clear that that was one of the many things I had planned to do but fell by the wayside as the traveling went on.

Places stayed:

  • A one bedroom apartment
  • A condo
  • Two historic row houses in historic cities
  • A brick bungalow
  • A ranch house
  • A new suburban house
  • A downtown city loft in a converted warehouse listed on the historic registry of places
  • A family home in a tropical valley

More interesting to me than types of places, however, was the people and the lives I got new insight into. Everyone’s life falls into any number of roles, but these are the first things that came into my head as I thought about them.
