I know it's you

I once told [her] I couldn’t sleep because it’s difficult when dreams can’t compare with reality.
She said that may be the most romantic statement she had heard.
Now because of how she is acting I dread waking up
as dreams have become the best escape.
I always dream of her somehow.

Slowly accepting [her] as a lost cause.

She is driven by lust at this point, not love.
I am guilty once again of projecting qualities upon a pretty girl
in hopes they’d actually be there.
But once again they are not.
