Out by the pond for the first time during the day
I have to go to work
but it’s simply too beautiful.

Glorious Indian summer sun
a slight cool breeze transfixes the normally shiftless air

Daisy is right across the pond and I watch for green lights
she would be the only thing that could improve this moment.

No need for words
just to sit together and experience
the day.
