The year was 1992. A young, fresh-faced Gregory was in fifth grade, Mrs. Dytrich’s class.
In art class that year the children were instructed to draw comic books.
Gregory, drawing on his love of pop culture, drew inspiration from one of his favorite movies at the time, Beastmaster.
Anyone who knew anything knew the real stars of the movie were ferrets Kodo and Podo.
Gregory decided they deserved a starring role and what better role than as crime fighting ferrets?
Wanting to avoid copyright infringement, Gregory purposed misspelled Kodo as “Codo” and began slaving away on the storyline of the introductory issue.
The result?
The Aw-some Adventures of Codo and Podo.
