Love captures the endangered
nation of this being,
being foretold by ourselves before
they were ourselves
in a time when
souls ran free.
The commodification of anger and rage
feeds the commerce of a nation
hell-bent on choking to death
on snacks and taxes.
Lay down and sink into the masses
grabbing hold of oceans of fire and unbreathable air.
At least we know were in charge now –
no one can destroy us like we can destroy us.
Come here, let me feel you dying and let’s charge it to our Amex.
