[waking like water]

[waking like water]
There’s a need in my head to breathe,
to float on inside like the waves
in an unconstricted flow of grace and delight.
The morning is a blessing and any slowed
recombination brings ease to the extremities
and my handwriting shows that right now.
Clinging must let go to grow,
must not fear what could be –
let’s play together in this soft world,
in a realization that escape is the only way.
Accepting is better than being hysterical
and that’s where that water comes back into things.
What’s the purpose?
To find myself where I am.
