That may just be

Writing upside down is still writing
if the pen caresses the page
as I long to fall your face.
Keep on without adding
dates & times & places,
and do so without thought
of what this will become
and how it could impact your career.
Live that artistic life you used to dream of
and work,
and do it hard,
but know it is not a means to an end.
Be in the means,
love the means,
pray and seek absolution in the means.
The words and the stories are all,
no matter who reads them.
This is what we were given
and we are not above the rest.
We can’t be with our money,
but we can be with our thoughts and lodgings.
Take each creative moment to love
and be immersed in all
and each of it.
Create for itself and let the rest
fall as it may.
You got the girl and the rest is gravy.

So long, so long, this was a pleasant time to pass with you.
