One of those, which I just added to the site, is called The Escape Artist.
It is a short fable of sorts something which I’ve never really played around with much. But I still like this piece.
It’s now clear that it was heavily influenced by the fact that at the time I was living in the most suburban of suburban places (i.e. Stepford Wives without the interesting stuff) that I wanted nothing to do with, which, to paraphrase/steal from good old Ernest, was full of giant houses and small minds.
There were times that I wanted out of that place any way possible and would concoct various fantasies. That seems to be pretty clear what this is.
